Disney Unveils First Poster for The BFG
The BFG (Mark Rylance), while a giant himself, is a Big Friendly Giant and nothing like the other inhabitants of Giant Country. Standing 24-feet tall with enormous ears and a keen sense of smell, he is endearingly dim-witted and keeps to himself for the most part. Giants like Bloodbottler (Bill Hader) and Fleshlumpeater (Jemaine Clement) on the other hand, are twice as big and at least twice as scary and have been known to eat humans, while the BFG prefers Snozzcumber and Frobscottle. Carol – Film Review
Carol, is based on Patricia Highsmith’s, The Price of Salt written in 1952 which chronicled her own feelings about her sexuality through two fictional characters. Set in the fifties, an era when two women seen touching, let alone being in a relationship, was a preposterous idea, Haynes shows the two central women in the film having moments with touches or looks seem electric and almost scary. David Bowie Dies of Cancer at Age 69
David Bowie died of cancer yesterday, only two days after his 69th birthday and the release of his 28th studio album, BlackStar. He had been living with cancer for 18 months. He was considered ahead of his time with his style, music, and personality. He was never afraid to say what was on his mind or share his art from deep within.
