The Very Core of Graffiti Art

The Centro Cultural de La Raza will host the “Sopita de Letras”, an exhibition of over 30 artists, until May 8, 2015. The exhibit takes the art form of Graffiti to the very core: letters/letras. Each contributing artis was randomly assigned a letter to showcase their skill and style. Visitors may view the works during the venue’s public hours  Tues.–Sun., noon–4:00 p.m. The opening reception featured sick beats and light refreshments with a beer selection for purchase. Cultural Tourism Summit and Comic-Con Preview Night

Cultural Tourism Summit at Museum of Photographic Arts (Balboa Park in San Diego) The Cultural Tourism Summit presented by City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture in collaboration with the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau, offered an opportunity to develop creative and collaborative initiatives to help draw visitors who participate in arts and culture activities during their trip. Many of the marketing that represent different art organizations around San Diego attended the summit. The presentations were exciting and visually attractive. It definitely got me excited in things to come. Appetizers including tater tots, bread pudding and sliders were served along with wine. The venue was beautiful and allowed us to explore the current exhibit.
