Disney Unveils First Poster for The BFG

The BFG (Mark Rylance), while a giant himself, is a Big Friendly Giant and nothing like the other inhabitants of Giant Country. Standing 24-feet tall with enormous ears and a keen sense of smell, he is endearingly dim-witted and keeps to himself for the most part. Giants like Bloodbottler (Bill Hader) and Fleshlumpeater (Jemaine Clement) on the other hand, are twice as big and at least twice as scary and have been known to eat humans, while the BFG prefers Snozzcumber and Frobscottle.

Poltergeist – Film Review

The remake of Poltergeist will leave fans of the original wanting more. It is, however, enjoyable enough for newbies. The movie has a couple of scenes that’ll make you jump a little but are mostly followed by laughter. There are a couple of updates to make it modern like cell phones and a drone that’s used to see what’s on the “other side”. It’s definitely not iconic although, has any remake ever earned that status? In the movie, a family of five is looking for a suburban home. The dad, Eric Bowen (Sam Rockwell) is ambivalent because he can’t afford a home due to his recent layoff. Why they’re looking to buy then doesn’t make sense. How do they get a bank loan when the mom, Amy Bowen (Rosemarie DeWitt) doesn’t have a paying job either? Eric points out...

JURASSIC WORLD – Be Prepared to RUN!

The park will open soon. Will you be attending? Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World.  Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure from a screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly.  Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers. Trevorrow debuted a new JURASSIC WORLD poster today featuring Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing face to face with the Indominus Rex. The move also stars Chris Pratt and is scheduled to open on June 12th. Can’t wait to see what goes wrong this time. Definitely a movie to watch in IMAX....
