Sony Pictures’ is pulling out all the stops to promote the new film PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES set to be release in the U.S. by Screen Gems on February 5, 2016. From partnering with Just Jared to set the world record for the most zombies reading Jane Austen at one time to letting fans join the ranks of the undead with their new ‘Zombify Yourself’ digital feature.

Fans can get Zombified by logging onto http://PPZzombify.com or http://PPZ-movie.com.  Once there, users will upload (or take) a photo and facial recognition software will create a gif of themselves transforming into the decaying undead.  Once the transformation is complete, the gif can be shared on social networks or via text.

In PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES, a zombie outbreak has fallen upon the land in this reimagining of Jane Austen’s classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19thcentury England.  Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet (Lily James) is a master of martial arts and weaponry and the handsome Mr. Darcy (Sam Riley) is a fierce zombie killer, yet the epitome of upper class prejudice.  As the zombie outbreak intensifies, they must swallow their pride and join forces on the blood-soaked battlefield in order to conquer the undead once and for all.

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES is directed by Burr Steers from a screenplay by Burr Steers.  It is based on the Quirks Books classic by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith.

Check out all the zombies that came out of hiding to set the world record for the most zombies reading Jane Austen at one time!
